Matthew  6:9-13

“In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come,

Your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven

give us this day our daily bread.

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass

against us, and do not lead us

into temptation, but deliver us

from the evil one.  For Yours is

the kingdom and the power

and the glory forever. Amen.”

 

Matthew  1:21

And she will bring forth a Son,

 and you shall call His name Jesus,

 for He will save His people

 from their sin.

 

 Psalms 1:1-2

Blessed is the man who walks not in 

the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands

in the path of sinners, nor sits in the 

seat of the scornful; But his delight is

 in the law of the Lord, and in His law he 

meditates day and night.

 

Matthew  1:23

“Behold, the virgin shall 

be with child, and bear a Son,

and they shall call His name

Immanuel,”

which is translated,

“God with us.”

Psalms  3:3

But You, O Lord,

are a shield for me,

my glory and the One

who lifts up my head. 


Matthew 4:17

from that time Jesus

 began to Preach and to say,

 “Repent, for The kingdom of

 heaven is at hand.”

 

Psalms 4:1

Hear me when I call, O God

of my righteousness!

You have relieved me 

in my distress;

have mercy on me,

and hear my prayer.

 

Matthew  5:3-12

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,

 for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn,

 for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,

 for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger

 and thirst for righteousness,

 for they shall be filled.”

Blessed are the merciful,

 for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart,

 for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,

 for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted

 for righteousness sake for theirs is 

 the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they

 revile and persecute you, and

 say all kinds of evil against you

 falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be

 exceedingly glad, for great is your

 reward in heaven, for so they

 persecuted the prophets

 who were before you.”

 

Psalms 4:3

But know that the Lord

has set apart for Himself

him who is Godly; the Lord

will hear when I call to Him.


Matthew 5:20

“For I say to you,

 that unless your righteousness

 exceeds the righteousness of

 the scribes and Pharisees, 

you will by no means

 enter the kingdom

 of heaven.”

 

Psalm 4: 4-5

Be angry, and do not sin.

Meditate within your

 heart on your bed,

 and be still. 

Offer the sacrifices

 of righteousness, and put

 your trust in the Lord.

 

Matthew 5:28

But I say to you

 that whoever looks at a

 woman to lust for her has

 already committed adultery

 with her in his heart.

 

Psalms 4:6

There are many who say,

“Who will show us any good?”

Lord, lift up the light of Your 

countenance upon us.

But I tell you not to resist

 an evil person. But whoever

 slaps you on your right cheek,

 turn the other to him also.

I will both lie down in peace,

make me dwell in safety.

“But I say to you, love your enemies,

 bless those who curse you,

 do good to those who hate you,

 and pray for those who spitefully

 use you and persecute you.”

 

 Psalms  5:1-3

Give ear to my words, O Lord,

 consider my meditation.

Give heed to the

 voice of my cry,

 my king and my God,

for to You I will pray.

  My voice You shall

 hear in the morning,

O Lord; in the morning I will

 direct it to You, and will look up.

 

 Matthew  5:48

“Therefore you shall be perfect,

 just as your Father in

 heaven is perfect.” 

 

Psalms  5:11-12

But let all those rejoice

 who put their trust in You;

let them ever shout for joy,

 because You defend them;

let those also who love

 Your name be joyful in You.

For You, O Lord, will bless

 the righteous; with

 favor You will surround

 him as with a shield.

 

Matthew 6:6

“But you, when you pray, go into

 your room, and when you have

 shut your door, pray to your Father

 who is in the secret place;

 and your Father who sees in secret

 will reward you openly.”

 

Psalms  6:2

Have mercy on me, O Lord,

 for I am weak;

 O Lord, heal me,

 for my bones are troubled.

  


Matthew  6:9-13

 Psalm 6:3-4

  My soul also is greatly troubled;

 but You, O Lord - how long?

  Return, O Lord, deliver me! 

 Oh, save me for Your mercies sake!

Matthew  6:14-15

“For if you forgive men their trespasses,

 your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,

 neither will your Father forgive

 your trespasses.”

Psalms  6:8-9

Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity;

 for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.

  The Lord has heard my supplication;

 the Lord will receive my prayer.

Matthew  6:16

“Moreover, when you fast,

do not be like the hypocrites,

with a sad countenance. For they

disfigure their faces that they

may appear to men to be 

fasting.  Assuredly, 

I say to you, they

have there reward.”

 

Psalms  6:10

Let all my enemies be ashamed

and greatly troubled; let them

turn back and be ashamed suddenly.



Mat 6:17-18

“But you, when you fast, anoint your

 head and wash your face,

 so that you do not appear to

 men to be fasting, but to your

 Father who is in the secret place;

 and your Father who sees in secret

 will reward you openly.”

   Psalms  7:1

O Lord my God,

 in You I put my trust;

 save me from all those who

 persecute me, and deliver me.

Matthew  6:19-21

“Do not lay up for yourselves

 treasures on earth, where moth

 and rust destroy and where

 thieves break in and steal,

 but lay up for yourselves

 treasures in heaven, where

 neither moth nor rust destroys

 and where thieves do not

 break in and steal.

  For where your treasure is,

 there your heart will be also.”

 

Psalms 7:10

My defense is of God,

 who saves the upright in heart.

 Matthew  6:24

“No one can serve two masters;

 for either he will hate the one

 and love the other, or else

 he will be loyal to the one and

 despise the other.  You cannot

 serve God and mammon.”

 

Psalms  7:17

I will praise the Lord

 according to His righteousness,

 and will sing praise to the

 name of the Lord Most High.

 

Mat. 6:33-34

“But seek first the kingdom of God

 and His righteousness, and all

 these things shall be added to you.

  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,

 for tomorrow will worry about its own things.

  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

 

 Psalms  8:1

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent

 is Your name in all the earth,

 who have set Your glory

 above the heavens!

 

Matthew 7:1

“Judge not,

 that you be not judged.”

 

Psalm 8:9

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent

 is Your name in all the earth!

 

Matthew 7:7-8

“Ask, and it will be given to you;

 seek, and you will find; Knock,

 and it will be opened to you.

  For everyone who asks receives,

 and he who seeks finds,

 and to him who knocks

 it will be opened.”

 

Psalm 9:1-2

I will praise You,

 O Lord, with my whole heart;

 I will tell of all Your marvelous works.

  I will be glad and rejoice in You;

 I will sing praise to Your name.

 O Most High.

 

Matthew 7:11

“If you then, being evil, know how

 to give good gifts to your children,

 how much more will your Father

 who is in heaven give good things

 to those who ask Him!”

 

Psalm 9:9-10

The Lord also will be a refuge for

 the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

  And those who know Your name will put

 their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not

 forsaken those who seek You.

 

Matthew 7:12

“Therefore, whatever you

 want men to do to you,

 do also to them, for this is

 the law and the prophets.”


 

Psalm 9:11

Sing praises to the Lord,

 who dwells in Zion! 

 Declare His deeds

 among the people.

 

Matthew 7:13-14

“Enter by the narrow gate;

 for wide is the gate and

 broad is the way that

 leads to destruction, and

 there are many who go in by it.

  Because narrow is the gate and

 difficult is the way which leads to life,

 and there are few who find it.”

 

Psalm 10:12

Arise, O Lord! 

 O God, lift up Your hand!

  Do not forget the humble.

 

Matthew 7:21

“Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord,

 shall enter the kingdom of heaven,

 but he who does the will of

 My Father in heaven.”

 

Psalm 10:14

But You have seen, for You observe

 trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand.

  The helpless commits himself to You;

 You are the helper of the fatherless.

 

Matthew 7:24

“Therefore whoever hears these

 sayings of Mine, and does them,

 I will liken him to a wise man

 who built his house on the rock.”

 

Psalm 10:17-18

Lord, You have heard

 the desire of the humble;

 You will prepare their heart;

 You will cause Your ear to hear,

 to do justice to the fatherless

 and the oppressed, that the man

 of the earth may oppress no more.


 

Matthew 8:17

That it might be fulfilled which

 was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, 

saying: “He Himself took our

 infirmities and bore our 

sicknesses.”

 

Psalms 11:4

The Lord is in His holy temple,

 the Lord’s throne is in heaven; 

His eyes behold; His eyelids

 test the sons of men.

 

Matthew 8:27

So the men marveled,

 saying, “Who can this be,

 that even the winds

 and the sea

 obey Him?”

 

Psalm 11:5

The Lord tests the righteous,

 but the wicked and the one

 who loves violence

His soul hates. 

 

Matthew 9:20-22

And suddenly, a woman who had

 a flow of blood for twelve years

 came from behind and touched

 the hem of His garment.  For she

 said to herself, if only I may

 touch His garment,

 I shall be made well.

  But Jesus turned around,

 and when He saw her He said,  

“Be of good cheer, daughter;

 your faith has made you well.”

And the woman was made

 well from that hour.

 

Psalm 11:7

For the Lord is righteous,

 He loves righteousness;

 His countenance beholds

 the upright.

 

Matthew 9:32-33

As they went out, behold, they

 brought to Him a man,

 mute and demon possessed.

  And when the demon was cast out,

 the mute spoke.  And the multitudes

 marveled, saying, it was never seen

 like this in Israel!

 

Psalm 12:6-7

The words of the Lord are pure words,

 like silver tried in a furnace of earth,

 purified seven times.  You shall keep them,

       O Lord, You shall preserve them from

 this generation forever.

 

Matthew 9:37-38

Then He said to His disciples,

“The harvest truly is plentiful,

 but the laborers are few.

Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest

 to send out laborers into His harvest.”

 

Psalm 13:5

But I have trusted in Your mercy;

 my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

 

Matthew 10:22

“And you will be hated

 by all for My name’s sake.

But he who endures to the

 end will be saved.”

Matthew 10:38-39

And he who does not take his cross

 and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

  He who finds his life will lose it,

 and he who loses his life

 for My sake will find it.


 

Psalm 13:6

I will sing to the Lord, because

 He has dealt bountifully with me.

 

Matthew 10:38-39

Psalm 14:2

The Lord looks down from heaven

 upon the children of men,

 to see if there are

 any who

 understand,

“I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,

 that You have hidden these things from the wise

 and prudent and have revealed them to babes.”

 

 

    Psalm 16:1

Preserve me, O God,

 for in You I put my trust.

 

Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to Me,

 all you who labor

 and are heavy laden,

 and I will give you rest.

  Take My yoke upon you

 and learn from Me,

 for I am gentle and

 lowly in heart, and you

 will find rest for your souls.

  For My yoke is easy and

 My burden is light.”

 

Psalm 16:2

0 my soul, you have said to the Lord,

 You are my Lord,

my goodness is nothing apart from You.

 

Matthew 13:16-17

“But blessed are your eyes for they see,

 and your ears, for they hear, for assuredly,

 I say to you that many prophets and

 righteous men desired to see

 what you see, and did not see it, and to

 hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”


 

Psalm 16:3

As for the saints

 who are on the earth,

 they are the excellent ones,

 in whom is all my delight.

 

Matthew 13:22

“Now he who received

 seed among the thorns is he

 who hears the word, and the

 cares of this world and the

 deceitfulness of riches

 choke the word, and he

 becomes unfruitful.”


 

Psalm 16:5-6

O Lord, You are the

 portion of my inheritance

 and my cup; You maintain my lot.

  The lines have fallen to me

 in pleasant places;

 yes I have a good

 Inheritance.

 

Matthew 14:23

And when He had sent

 the multitudes away,

He went up on the

 mountain by Himself

 to pray. Now when evening

 came, He was alone there.

 

Matthew 14:35-36

And when the men of that

 place recognized Him,

 they sent out into all

 that surrounding region,

 brought to Him all

 who were sick, and

 begged Him that they might 

only touch the hem of His

 garment.  And as many

 as touched it were

 made perfectly well.

 

           

Psalm 16:7

I will bless the Lord

 who has given me counsel;

 my heart also instructs

 me in the night seasons.

 

Matthew 15:10-11

When He had called the multitude

 to Himself, He said to them,

“Hear and understand:  Not what goes

 into the mouth defiles a man; but what

 comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

 

Psalm 16:8

I have set the Lord always before me;

 because He is at my right hand

I shall not be moved.

  

 Matthew 16:24-26

  Then Jesus said

 to His disciples,

“If anyone desires

 to come after Me,

 let him deny himself,

 and take up his cross,

 and follow Me.

  For whoever desires

 to save his life will lose it,

 but whoever loses his life

 for My sake will find it.

  For what profit is it to a man

 if he gains the whole world,

 and loses his own soul? 

 Or what will a man give in

 exchange for his soul?

 

Psalm 16:8

I have set the Lord always before me;

 because He is at my right hand

 I shall not be moved.

 

           

 Matthew 17:20

So Jesus said to them,

“Because of your unbelief,

 for assuredly, I say to you, If

 you have faith as a mustard seed,

 you will say to this mountain,

 move from here to there,

 and it will move;

 and nothing will

 be impossible for you.”

 

Psalm 16:9

Therefore my heart is glad,

 and my glory rejoices;

 my flesh also will rest in hope.

 

Matthew 18:3

And said,

 “assuredly, I say to you,

 unless you are converted

 and become as little children,

 you will by no means enter

 the kingdom of heaven.”

You will show me the path of life;

 in Your presence is fullness of joy;

 on earth concerning anything that they ask,

Hear a just cause, O Lord,

 attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer

 which is not from deceitful lips.

“For where two or three

 are gathered together

 in My name, I am there

 in the midst of them.”

 

Psalm 17:2

Let my vindication come from Your presence;

 let Your eyes look on the things that are upright.

 

      Matthew 19:11-12

But He said to them,

 “All cannot accept this saying,

 but only those to whom it has been given.

  For there are eunuchs who were born thus

 from their mother’s womb, and there

 are eunuchs who were made

 eunuchs by men, and there

 are eunuchs who have

 made themselves eunuchs

 for the kingdom of heaven’s sake.

  He who is able to accept it,

 let him accept it.”



Psalm 17:3

You have tested my heart;

 You have visited me in the night;

 You have tried me and have found nothing;

 I have purposed that my mouth

 shall not transgress.

Matthew 19:14

But Jesus said,

 “Let the little children come to Me,

 and do not forbid them; for

 of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

 

Psalm 17:4-5

Concerning the works of men,

 by the word of Your lips, I have

 kept away from the paths of 

the destroyer.  Uphold my steps

 in Your paths, that my footsteps

 may not slip.



Matthew 19:21

Jesus said to him, 

“If you want to be perfect, go,

 sell what you have and give to the poor,

 and you will have treasure in heaven;

 and come follow Me.”

 

Psalm 17:6

I have called upon You,

 for You will hear me,

 O God; incline Your ear to me,

 and hear my speech.

 

Matthew 19:23-24

Then Jesus said to His disciples,

 “Assuredly, I say to you that it is

 hard for a rich man to enter

 the kingdom of heaven.

  And again I say to you,

 it is easier for a camel to go

 through the eye of a needle

 than for a rich man to enter

 the kingdom of God.”



Psalm 17:7

Show Your marvelous loving kindness

 by Your right hand, O You who

 save those who trust in You,

 from those who rise up against them.


 

Matthew 19:29

“And everyone who has left houses

 or brothers or sisters or father

 or mother or wife or children 

or lands, for My name’s sake,

 shall receive a hundredfold,

 and inherit eternal life.”

 

Psalm 17:8

Keep me as the apple of Your eye;

 hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

 

Matthew 19:30

“But many who are first will be last,

 and the last first.”



Psalm 17:15

As for me, I will see Your face

 in righteousness; I shall be satisfied

 when I awake in Your likeness.

“So the last will be first, and the first last.

  For many are called, but few chosen.”

I will love You,

 O Lord my strength.

“And whoever desires

 to be first among you,

 and to give His life a

The Lord is my rock and my fortress

 and my deliverer; my God, my strength,

 in whom I will trust; my shield and

 the horn of my salvation,

 my stronghold.

Then the multitude

 warned them that they

 should be quiet; but they

 cried out all the more,

 saying, “Have mercy on us,

 O Lord, Son of David!”

 

Psalm 18:3

I will call upon the Lord,

 who is worthy to be praised;

So shall I be saved

 from my enemies.




Matthew 21:9

Then the multitudes who went before

 and those who followed cried out saying: 

 “Hosanna to the Son of David! 

 Blessed is he who comes

 in the name of the Lord!

  Hosanna in the highest!”

 

Psalm 18:6

In my distress I called upon the Lord,

 and cried out to my God; He heard

 my voice from His temple, and

 my cry came before Him,

 even to His ears.

 

Matthew 21:21-22

So Jesus answered and said to them,

“Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith

 and do not doubt, you will not only

 do what was done to the fig tree,

 but also if you say to this mountain,

 be removed and be cast into the sea,

 it will be done.  And whatever things

 you ask in prayer, believing,

 you will receive.”

 

Psalm 18:21

For I have kept

 the ways of the Lord,

 and have not wickedly

 departed from my God.

 

Matthew  22:30

For in the resurrection

they neither marry

 nor are given in

 marriage,

 but are like

 angels of God

 in heaven.  

 

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus said to him,

“You shall love the Lord your God

 with all your heart,

 with all your soul,

 and with all your mind.

This is the first and

 great commandment.

And the second is like it:

You shall love your

 neighbor as yourself.

 

Matthew 23:12

And whoever exalts himself

 will be humbled,

 and he who humbles himself

 will be exalted.



Psalm 18:21-22

For I have kept the ways of the Lord,

and have not wickedly departed from

my God.  For all His judgments were

 before me, and I did not put away His

 statutes from me.

 

Matthew 23:39

“For I say to you, you shall 

see Me no more till you say, 

Blessed is He who comes

 in the name of the Lord.”

 

Psalm 18:23

I was also blameless before Him,

 and kept myself from my iniquity.

 

Matthew 24:13

“But he who endures to the end

 shall be saved.”




Psalm 18:24

Therefore the Lord

 has recompensed me

 according to my righteousness,

 according to the cleanness

 of my hands in His sight.

 

Matthew 24:20

“And pray that your

 flight may not be

 in winter or on

 the sabbath.” 

 

Matthew 24:44

“Therefore you also be ready,

 for the Son of Man is coming

 at an hour you do not expect.”

 

Psalm 18:25

With the merciful

 You will show Yourself merciful;

 with a blameless man You will

 show Yourself blameless.

 

Matthew 25:13

“Watch therefore,

 for you know neither the day

 nor the hour in which the

 Son of Man is coming.”



Psalm 18:26

With the pure You

 will show Yourself pure;

 and with the devious You will

 show Yourself shrewd. 

 

Matthew 25: 34-36

“Then the king will say

 to those on His right hand,

 come, you blessed of My Father,

 inherit the kingdom prepared for you 

 from the foundation of the world:  For

 I was hungry and you gave Me food;

 I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;

 I was a stranger and you took Me in,

 I was naked and you clothed Me;

 I was sick and you visited Me;

 I was in prison and you came to Me.”

 

Psalm 18:27

For You will save the humble people,

 but bring down haughty looks.



Matthew 26:26-28

And as they were eating,

 Jesus took the bread, blessed

 and broke it, and gave it to the

 disciples and said,

“Take, eat; this is My body.”

Then He took the cup,

 and gave thanks, and

 gave it to them, saying,

“Drink from it all of you.

  For this is My blood 

of the new covenant,

 which is shed for many for

 the remission of sins.”

 

Psalm 18:28

For You will light my lamp;

 the Lord my God will

 enlighten my darkness.



Matthew 26:40-41

Then He came to His disciples

 and found them sleeping,

 and said to Peter,

 “What!  Could you not

 watch with Me one hour?

Watch and pray, lest you

 enter into temptation.

  The spirit indeed is willing,

 but the flesh is weak.”

 

Psalm 18:30

As for God, His way is perfect;

 the word of the Lord is proven;

He is a shield to all

 who trust in Him.



Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and

 spoke to them saying,

“All authority has been given to Me

 in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore

 and make disciples of all nations,

 baptizing them in the name of the

 Father and the Son and of the 

Holy Spirit, teaching them

 to observe all things

 that I have commanded

 you; and lo, I am with you

 always, even to the

 end of the age.”
